Last week, I realized that I’m perhaps a human potentialist (whatever that means) because I’m passionately interested in how to turn human potential into reality in our businesses. This is an interest which has grown out of my interest in the technical and human aspects of software development. This is also why I am very interested in what’s happening in the Agile software development community and a proponent of the Manifesto for Agile Software Development. In my continued exploration of human potentialism (whatever that means) I realized that there is a Human Potential Movement which started in the 1960s. However, there seems to be something new and interesting ongoing in Australia. Here’s a Manifesto for Wellbeing published in 2005, which definitely is related to improving our human potentials (whatever that means). My exploration continues.
