Operating from the future as it emerges

I have mentioned in a previous post that I have read the book Theory U: Leading from the Future as It Emerges by Otto Scharmer. The underlying question in the book is how to begin to operate from the future as it emerges. It is really about how to dance with the situation by continuously observing and sensing, allowing the inner knowing or intuition to emerge, and then instantly act on it. This is not done in a mechanical sequential manner, but in parallel – all the time. The dancing has to be done with an open mind, heart, and will – individually and collectively. In order to be able to step into the emerging new world it is necessary to shut down the voices of judgment, cynicism, and fear. The dance can only begin when we overcome the fear of stepping into the unknown.
